In order to complete the tourism education, for most studies it is mandatory to spend time abroad and seek knowledge in developing tourism sectors. Malawi is a so-called emerging tourism destination, where no large scale mass tourism is to be found. This makes the country a unique destination for field trips for sustainable tourism and tourism impact studies. We offer a 3-week tailor made program, with field trips to tourism sites, an introduction of the students to individuals and organisations engaged in tourism in Malawi and give them the possibility to interact with students from the University of Malawi in Zomba as well as with the Malawi Institute of Tourism. A research assignment will be set up in close collaboration with the foreign University.
