Safety and preparations
Safety is what matters most to us. Since safety is our number one priority when designing an itinerary for your school or university, we work with careful management, diligent planning and thorough consultation with all stakeholders. First of all we will never compromise on safety to reduce the price of a tour. We only work with private vehicles, qualified and carefully screened guides, restaurants and accommodation. On Blend lodge the basis of the itinerary we can control the quality, as we own the business. Every guide is first aid trained and are chosen because of their years of experience guiding travellers through wilderness destinations. Every guide travels with a comprehensive first aid kid. If required it is also possible to have a doctor or security to travel with the group.
A detailed risk assessment is carried out prior to every school group adventure in close consultation with our stakeholders.
A pre-briefing will be provided, to outline what to expect. After registration we also supply a detailed document outlining what to expect, what gear to take and information on getting fit for the tour to ensure students are well prepared. The School and parents will be provided with emergency contact details.
